Studio Open House

We had a great time today at our studio open house to celebrate the opening of our brand new, custom designed 1400 square foot studio space in Gambrills MD. I wanted to take this time to thank all of my fabulous clients that showed up today in support, as well as all the new faces that I met for the first time. I cannot wait to grow into this new space and celebrate new births and milestones for years to come. Here are a few images from today’s party mostly taken by my friend Stacy, who jumped into action with my camera (thanks Stacy!!!)

The food today was absolutely breathtaking. I was first exposed to ECO Caterers at The Baby Affair in Washington DC this spring and their food was amazing so I knew I needed to book them for my event as well. They definitely did not disappoint in any way. The staff was professional, the food was incredible and it was presented in a very elegant way.

For dessert I knew I had to have the best, so I contacted Charm City Cakes, who are the stars of the TLC show “Ace of Cakes”. We spent some time in their design studio coming up with my cake design and chose an elegant design that showcased what I love best, newborns! They did a great job turning our drawing into a reality, and delivered it to the studio in perfect condition. To spice things up a bit I also brought in some cupcakes from Sprinkles Cupcakes located in Georgetown, which were delicious.

All the kids that came had a great time, including my 4 that have watched the building process the entire way, and even helped a little. The playroom has officially been broken in and based on the smiles I’d say the kids definitely thought it was a fun place to be.

It has been 5 months since I first found this studio and started the design process to make it absolutely perfect, and I couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate it’s success than with everyone that came out today. Thank you again!!

Special thanks to my amazing husband, Nathan, for supporting me and helping me through this journey. He got the honors of cutting into the cake!

My rockin’ assistant Lynnea! Without her, I’d be lost.
